BDS under attack

The Boycott, Sanctions and Divestment Movement is under attack; this time by US lawmakers. The movement seeks to raise global awareness about the racist policies of the Israeli regime and discourage companies from doing business with the occupiers of Palestinian lands. But now US lawmakers are trying to outlaw the movement: A group of Senators are preparing a bill that would penalize any American who supports the movement: a minimum civil penalty of $250,000 and a maximum criminal penalty of $1 million and 20 years in prison. The bill is said to have been drafted with the assistance of American Israel Public Affairs Committee or AIPAC. A similar bill has also been introduced in the House and so far it has garnered the support of over 230 representatives...
